Church Council
The Church Council meets the third Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in The Oasis (Emory Hall Assembly Area). Minutes are published after they are formally approved by the Council.

The Role of Church Council
Acts as a Board of Directors
Verifies the Mission Statement and sets the course
Establishes policies, priorities and timetables based on the Mission
Assigns responsibilities to staff, standing committees (finance, staff-parish relations, trustees) and ad hoc committees
Receives status reports from committees and ministry area directors
Monitors and assures accountability according to the Mission Statement
Acts on vetted requests for changes in policies or resources
Uses an Executive Committee for interim decisions (Senior Pastor, Associate Pastor, Pastor for Leadership and Development, Council Chairman, Finance Chair, SPRC Chair, Trustees Chair, and Lay Leader).
