Important Date Change: Class Pictures originally scheduled for April 28 and 29 have been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 21 and Thursday, April 22, 2010.

Easter Holiday Break: No School Monday, March 29 through Monday, April 5. Classes resume, Tuesday, April 6.

Weather Reminders--Delayed Openings and Closings

The Ark and Oakdale Christian Academy will follow Montgomery County Public Schools closing

and delayed opening announcements.

In the event of a Delayed Opening, classes will operate as follows:

MW, MWF, M-F classes 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

T-TH classes 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

LAMBS 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

The Ark Children’s Center offers a Christian preschool experience for 2½-year-olds to five-year-olds. Our ministry program focuses on social, emotional and spiritual development, teaches communication skills, fosters independence and problem-solving skills, and provides academic readiness for success in kindergarten. The Ark Children's Center is licensed by the Maryland State Department of Education and the Child Care Administration.

OAKDALE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY

Oakdale Christian Academy offers a full-day kindergarten experience for children. The Oakdale Christian Academy is a ministry outreach program at Oakdale Emory and is a non-profit organization licensed by Maryland State Department of Education.

OCA believes that every child is an individual blessed by God with gifts of personality, intellect, physical ability and talents. Our staff and program offerings nurture these individual student gifts and focus on healthy emotional, physical, social and academic development. Our class size of 14, with a teacher and assistant, provides a learning environment where children grow spiritually, can learn acceptance and respect for others, develop leadership skills and self-confidence, and thrive academically.
